Child & Family Network
The Child & Family Support Network aims to enhance the well-being of children and families by connecting families with local statutory and voluntary services, ensuring they receive the support they need.
What is Child and Family Support Network?
Supporting families and keeping children and young people safe is everyone’s business. CFSN's help families experience services as easily as possible in their own area.
Every area in the country is different, some have more people living there and some have different needs so different types of services will be needed in each area. CFSNs are made up of all the services in the area that help children and families. Examples of some of these services include social work, schools, public health nurses, family support centres etc.

Networks
The Child and Family Network coordinator organises network meetings within County Monaghan. Agencies are updated on current issues that families are facing, while also keeping informed of all the local events happening for families.
There are two main networks, North Monaghan and South Monaghan. The networks are made up of other agencies and organisations working with families and young people. These networks meet on a quarterly basis to discuss local trends and discuss solutions. We promote interagency work and thrive off having a good relationship with other agencies in the local area.
Meitheal
A Meitheal is a child centred meeting which gives families the opportunity to discuss their needs alongside all the professionals involved with the family. A plan is put in place and a follow up meeting happens every 6-8 weeks. Meitheals happen throughout the county and can be held for anyone aged between 4-18 years of age.
If you would like to refer your child for Meitheal, please complete the Meitheal form and send to the contact details below.
