Our Support Services

We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment where every individual feels valued and respected. Our inclusion initiatives are designed to promote equity, celebrate diversity, and ensure that all voices are heard.

  • Drop-In Advice Service: Accessible guidance and support for various needs.

  • Housing Provision: Assistance for displaced families in finding secure housing.

  • Therapeutic Supports: Professional mental health and wellness services.

  • Translation Services: Language assistance to ensure clear communication.

  • Cultural Celebrations: Events and activities that honor and celebrate diverse cultures e.g. Africa Day

  • Childcare: Reliable childcare services to support the families needs

  • Migrant/Asylum Seeker Support Clinic: Supports & advocacy to individuals from migrant backgrounds 

  • Support for Traveller Community: Provide support to members of the Traveller Community in accessing their rights, ensuring they receive fair treatment, respect, and justice.

  • Interagency Collaboration: We actively participate in the Traveller Interagency Group, Local Community Development Committee, Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme and other collaborative efforts to enhance our community support.

Asylum Seekers and Migrant Support Clinic

Support Methods

  • Online, phone, and in-person assistance.

  • Weekly drop-in clinic at St. Patrick’s every Wednesday, 10 AM – 4 PM.

Key Areas of Support

  • Asylum Process Guidance:

    • Research and provide information on asylum processes.

    • Assist with International Protection process updates.

    • Explain IPAS entitlements while living in direct provision.

  • Documentation Assistance:

    • Help with form filling (e.g., asylum applications, Irish citizenship, residency forms).

    • Guidance on applying or reapplying for work permits.

    • Support with visa and immigration related documentation (e.g., changing visa or stamp types).

  • Interview Preparation:

    • Motivate, encourage, and prepare individuals for successful interviews.

Translation and Interpretation

  • Services in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and Lingala.

Family and Parenting Support

  • Assistance with family reunification.

  • Support and resources for parenting.

Community Integration

  • Guidance on integrating into the community.

  • Education on migrant rights.

Additional Support Services

  • Assistance with applying for work permits, medical cards, child benefits, HAP, etc.

  • Accompaniment to appointments (e.g., GP, hospital, social welfare).

  • Confidential and free service.
