Lithuanian School

The Lithuanian Saturday School of Monaghan Town ‘Lietuvos vaikai’ (“Lithuanian children”) was formed in 2007. The education is organised according to the Integrated programme of Lithuanian education approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania.

Monaghan Lithuanian School “Lietuvos vaikai”

The Lithuanian Saturday School of Monaghan Town ‘Lietuvos vaikai’ (“Lithuanian children”) was formed in 2007. The education is organised according to the Integrated programme of Lithuanian education approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania. Children are admitted to the school from the age of 4. Students are divided into classes, depending on their age and knowledge levels.

 

Students are prepared to take the Lithuanian language exam in Ireland (Leaving Cert. Lithuanian Higher Level). Lithuanian high level. After school, students can develop their skills in art and singing. Every year we organise several celebrations, whose purpose is to show our children the traditions and customs. We organise and celebrate our nation's traditional festivals: Independence Day, Statehood/Anthem Day, Teacher's Day, Mother’s Day, Shrove Tuesday (Pancake Day), Easter, Christmas Eve, and others.

TIMETABLE (Saturdays): 

I Lesson    10.00am. – 10.45am 

II Lesson    11.00am. – 11.45am. 

III Lesson   12.00pm. – 12.45pm.  

Singing/Music classes: 9.00am. – 9.45am.  

Art classes: 1.00pm – 1.45pm.
