The community around Teach na nDaoine gathered for an afternoon of Easter fun on Wednesday, 16th April. This was a free event offered to the whole community and their friends. We were delighted to welcome over 70 children and their families. The hall was decorated with Easter-themed decorations, including bunnies, eggs, and festive treats.
On arrival the children were given an 'activity check list' so they could check off each station as they completed them. The check list included face painting, egg painting, craft table, colouring station, pin the tail on the bunny and an Easter word unscramble. At the craft table the children had a choice of making a bunny headband or a bunny selfie stick. We loved seeing their creative side as the children paraded their head bands around the hall.
It was brilliant to see the children getting involved in the traditional egg painting activity, with boiled eggs. The families enjoyed all the activities and some beautiful eggs were painted.
We also had a special visit from the Easter bunny who hopped into the hall and stopped for some photos with the families. Each child got an Easter treat from the Easter bunnies basket, which was a great end to a fantastic afternoon.
Thanks to everyone who attended our event and for your continued support of Teach na nDaoine FRC and all our events we run. We hope you have a lovely Easter and enjoy the break.
